I have been working around and toying with how to set up my syllabus and I really like the idea of using Google Docs folders to dump everything that they need to turn in and using a WordPress blog site type thing as a sort of homebase where the students can find all the necessary resources and get the latest information from me. I like using Google Docs to turn stuff in because I like the sharing feature of it. I like that the students are able to see what each other is doing. I’ve felt really lost in classes where I don’t know what others are doing and I feel like there is a real sense of community with the transparency of sharing your work on a space like Google Docs. So I’ve incorporated that into the site, but it is a bare bones skeletal version. Still can’t figure out how to pick a tab as my homepage….gahhhhh!
