Post 8 article groups

Post 8 article groups

I learned a lot from my article group and from the classes article groups. From my article group I think one of the main things that we learned that didn’t necessarily have to do with our topic(s) was the realization that all of us were so different and that we approached everything so differently. While this sometimes created a few difficulties when it came to figuring out what we were going to do it also highlighted the fact that everyone in the world is different from everyone else. For my group it created the opportunity fo us to have interesting conversations but also the chance for us to take time and figure out what each of us thought and wanted for our project. This fit well with the 21st century and literacy because we learned how diverse it can be and we were all able to pick something that appealed to us and helped us highlight the vastness of what 21st century means. As far as something that I would have loved to show the class I would have to say the video we watched under the 21st century literacies because it was fascinating to see these children interact and learn in new ways and I enjoyed listening to their points of view as well as the teachers and experts in the areas thoughts.

I also enjoyed the other presentations. I thought each group came at the project in a unique way. And I loved that each one created a conversation that everyone was into even to the point of us having to end a discussion because we needed to move onto other things. I loved the last group’s use of books to show diversity and the different opinions and thought about certain books/genres. All the groups did an excellent job showcasing what they talked about as a group.
