LAST CLASS BOOOHOOOHOOO!!!!
This class has taught me so much more than I thought I would learn. I never in a million years thought that I would end up liking the concept of “gaming”. I thought it was for people who were lazy, unmotivated, (often obese), unrealistic, nerdy, unkempt (cleanliness), and overall the type of person who was scared to go out into society and meet people for God’s sake. The first day of class, Kim said we were going to incorporate gaming and other forms of technology into our literacy class… WAIT! GAMING? IN LITERACY? ARE YOU NUUUUTS?!?!?!? No! She was absoulutely right on. And here I am now, not the biggest aficionado in gaming, but I do love my Angry Birds and Candy Crush Saga. I didn’t stay up for hours at a time, lose sleep, slack off on my study habits at all. I can see the therapeutic value for students using games. Some of these are better hand to eye coordination, cures depression/anxiety and helps people focus better which obviously benefits ADD and ADHD. Thanks Kim Jaxon, it was AN AMAZING SEMESTER!!!
