Researching together

Our course is organized around a series of two week “Make Cycle” routines. We’ll gather our own literacy data, do some analysis, read, write, and make artifacts together. Our tasks can be found under the Make Cycles menu above.

Welcome to English 332: Fall 2021

photo of Kim JaxonHello everyone!

You’ve found your way to our course website; welcome! I look forward to working together this semester.

No books to buy; we’ll be doing our reading in a platform called Perusall, which supports shared annotations. We’ll join and get situated in our first class session; bring a laptop, tablet, phone if you have one. No worries if not; I’ll bring an extra laptop. If you want to jump ahead, you can find instructions for joining Perusall on the “Week 1: Getting Situated” page, which is under the Make Cycles menu above and linked here too.

We’ll be wearing masks together in class for the near future, but I’m thrilled to be back on campus and in person with y’all.

This is one of my favorite classes. It’s a fascinating time to be thinking about literacy, especially digital literacy. I am here to support your efforts: feel free to reach out with any questions any time. You got this.
